They have been a driving force in the Americana Roots and Progressive Bluegrass genres since forming in 1999, building a legion of fans over the years. In addition to headlining their own shows, they have shared the stage with a diverse group of entertainers including The Avett Brothers, Grammy award-winning sensations, Alison Krauss and Vince Gill and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees, John Fogerty, Levon Helm, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. They have also played on the historic Grand Ole Opry stage more than 100 times.
MOUNTAIN HEART is comprised of co-founding members, Jim VanCleve (Fiddle/Vocals/Producer) and Barry Abernathy (Banjo/Vocals), along with Jason Moore (Bass/Vocals), Josh Shilling (Lead Vocals/Guitar/Keyboards), Aaron Ramsey (Mandolin/Vocals) and Jake Stargel (Guitar).
