Singer-songwriter offers readers a chance to spend a day with her in the recording studio and receive the complete Nashville experience

Country newcomer Margaret Durante was recently asked to be an online guest blogger for Ladies’ Home Journal, documenting special moments and real-life experiences as one of country music’s rising new talents. This week, the 23-year-old singer-songwriter has written her second installment for the monthly online series, MARGARET DURANTE’S NASHVILLE DIARIES.

In her latest diary blog, Margaret discusses her burgeoning career, including guest appearances on national television and radio shows, time spent in the studio working on her forthcoming album on Emrose/R&J Records and gives a glimpse into her personal life as she witnessed her sister’s recent engagement. As a bonus, Margaret sweetens the blog by giving readers a chance to win a trip to Nashville to spend a day in the studio with her, attend the Grand Ole Opry, and stay in a posh hotel in Music City.

Margaret penned her first blog for the popular website last month, after the video for her latest single, “Maybe Tonight,” debuted at the # 1 position on GAC’s “Top 20 Country Countdown.”

Margaret and Ladies’ Home Journal first joined forces after the 2011 CMA Music Festival, held in Nashville in June, when the singer participated in the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee’s volunteer event, co-hosted by LHJ and CMT One Country. LHJ’s website receives approximately nine million page views and close to a million unique visitors on a monthly basis.
