NASHVILLE, Tenn. (12/04/19) — Grammy-nominated and Platinum selling singer-songwriter Cassadee Pope is set to co-host and perform at the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Awards on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019. NBC’s Rutledge Wood will also co-host the special event taking place from Nashville’s Music City Center.

Cassadee grew up watching NASCAR with her grandfather, Alfred Casagni, who raced stock cars at Lernerville Speedway in Pennsylvania. In early November, she proudly took the joyride with Jeff Burton at the Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway and got to experience firsthand life in the fast lane. She has also performed the national anthem at several NASCAR and Monster Energy Series events.

“I’m so excited to be co-hosting this event with Rutledge Wood, who I think is so great,” Cassadee tells NASCAR.com. “This is the first year they’re having the NASCAR Awards in Nashville, and I think those two go together: NASCAR is a family sport, country music is a family genre.”

The awards ceremony will air on NBCSN / NBC Sports App at 8pET.
