SCHATZI HAGEMAN

In a world where media savvy is often the difference between success and failure, Hot Schatz PR stands out. Combining boutique feel and accessibility with major agency clout and experience, Hot Schatz PR has represented recording artists from emerging newcomers to legends, handled press for major tours and album launches, rolled out book tours, TV and film projects, and earned the trust of an enviable list of clients over the past three decades.

“There are no cookie cutter approaches in today’s media landscape,” says owner/proprietor Schatzi Hageman, herself a legendary figure in both Los Angeles and Nashville. “Each project is a new world that requires fresh vision and across-the-board knowledge of traditional and new media channels.”

A full-service company, Hot Schatz PR offers a wide variety of services, including special event planning, corporate media, and full service media promotion for authors, record labels, music publishing firms, regional film festivals, national concert series, theatrical productions and more, making it one of the most diverse and versatile firms in the entertainment industry.

Hot Schatz PR has an enviable reach, with access to some of the biggest TV shows, bloggers, and magazines, as well as knowledge of cutting-edge niche outlets—traditional and web-based—necessary for launching narrowly focused projects.

“We can design and implement complete national and regional campaigns inside and outside the entertainment world,” adds Schatzi. “Most importantly, we tailor our services to the client – not the other way around. Each project has its own unique needs, so every campaign we execute is as individual as the client and the project itself.”

Schatzi’s background gives her the knowledge and experience to oversee a range of approaches and handle any contingency. In Los Angeles, she was part of the management team for prominent entertainment manager Jeff Wald, assisting with day-to-day operations for clients including Badfinger, Chicago, Flip Wilson, Sylvester Stallone and Tower of Power, among others. She also worked as a production assistant with renowned producers including Phil Ramone, Richard Perry, and Tom Dowd. Upon her move to Nashville, Schatzi spent two years as manager of media for Sony Music/Nashville and three years as associate field producer for Entertainment Tonight, before launching her own public relations firm in 1992. Hot Schatz PR quickly became a go-to agency with a presence in the New York, Nashville, and Los Angeles entertainment worlds. Her clients have included Waylon Jennings, the Highwaymen, Alan Parsons, Patti Page, Loretta Lynn, Steve Azar, Shooter Jennings, Trace Adkins, Travis Tritt, Darryl Worley, Brian Owens, and many others.

“I’ve loved the journey and I still love the challenge,” says Schatzi. “I’ve learned that putting immensely talented people before the public is what I do best and enjoy most. This company continues to allow me to live out my own dream by propelling the dreams of others.”

With a rich history and the tools to tackle cutting-edge media challenges, Hot Schatz PR continues to live up to one of the entertainment world’s most stellar reputations.
