Trace Adkins Returns as Comic Book Hero "Luke McBain" When Issue #3 Hits Stands, January 27


     Nashville, TN (January 20, 2010) -- Platinum-selling country star Trace Adkins has become a bonafide hero in the form of his comic book alter ego, LUKE McBAIN. The third installment of the four-part series is scheduled to hit stands on Wednesday, January 27.
     Since the launch of the series in November,  the adventures of Luke McBain has become a hot selling item on both the shelves and at Adkins' concerts. The first issue sold-out from distributors in less than 48 hours with the second issue, released in December, outselling the first. 
     "This is a rare sales event in the comic book world," says 12 Gauge Comics publisher, Keven Gardner. "It is a true testament to the power and popularity of Trace Adkins!"
      The Luke McBain comic book series was developed by popular comic book writer David Tischman ("Red Herring," "Greatest Hits") and  Gardner. The comic book series features artwork by Kody Chamberlain and covers by Brian Stelfreeze.
