STROUDAVARIOUS RECORDS ANNOUNCES JOINT VENTURE WITH DMP/TREEHOUSE RECORDS

Partnership Teams Industry Veterans Stroud, Morris & Higham

Nashville, TN - July 12, 2010 - Stroudavarious Records CEO James Stroud announced today that he and Dale Morris of Morris Management have formed a joint venture with Stroudavarious and DMP/Treehouse Records.

“Not only is Dale one of my dearest friends, he is a mentor to me,” says Stroud.  “His commitment and belief in his artists mirrors ours here at Stroudavarious. This partnership makes all the sense in the world and I am thrilled to be in business together.”
 
DMP/Treehouse includes Blaine Larsen whose current single “Chillin’” just entered the Top 40 on both Mediabase and BDS country singles charts. Other artists on the DMP/Treehouse label include Rob Lane, Andy Gibson and Jason Mitchell, who are all currently completing their projects for release later this year.  The Stroudavarious roster includes Darryl Worley and LoCash Cowboys.  Worley’s new single, “Keep The Change”, has just been released to country radio  while LoCash Cowboys’ “Here Comes Summer” recently entered the country singles charts.

“Our mission,” says Stroud, “is to combine forces to include records, management and booking.  I feel this is the new business model for our industry and with my partners Dale Morris and Clint Higham, we can’t lose.”

Stroudavarious Records is distributed in the US by Sony Music’s RED Distribution.

About Clint Higham
A native of northern California, Clint Higham knew from an early age that his calling was in the country music industry.  He came to Nashville as a student of Belmont University, and upon graduation, he never left.  Serving as Executive Vice President, Clint has been with Morris Artists Management for 16 years.  He manages the careers of Kenny Chesney, Martina McBride, Jake Owen, David Nail, Blaine Larsen, Louise Mandrell and newcomer Frankie Ballard.  Clint serves on the Board of Directors for the Country Music Association.
