Nashville, TN (Jan. 21, 2025) - Following a successful 2024 tour, IMG Artists is pleased to announce that “Trailblazing Women of Country: A Tribute to Patsy, Loretta, and Dolly,” produced by Eli Wolf, will tour North America for a second time in early 2025.

Kicking-off at the Newberry Opera House in Newberry, South Carolina, on February 20, the concert tour features 2022 Grammy® nominee Rissi Palmer and Kristina Train joined by a five-member all-female band. Additional tour and ticket information can be found at www.womenofcountrytour.com.

Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, and Dolly Parton revolutionized country music and blazed a trail for future generations of female artists. With their chart-topping hits and record-breaking sales, the legends wove threads of contemporary womanhood throughout the tapestry of country music, resulting in unprecedented commercial success and earning each a place in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Rissi Palmer ("Country Girl," “Hold On to Me,” "Still Here") and Kristina Train (“Spilt Milk,” “Dark Black”) will celebrate the legacy of these legends performing their groundbreaking hits “Crazy,” “Walkin’ After Midnight,” “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’,” “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” “Jolene,” “9 to 5” and many more.

Rissi Palmer states, "From a young age, I was deeply influenced by these incredible women, learning the art of performance, songwriting, and singing through their music." Rissi continues, “It’s an honor to now bring their songs to life on this tour, and I couldn’t be more excited to share this experience with the audience!"

“This program and lineup are truly what dreams are made of, says Kristina Train. "I am thrilled to be performing these beloved songs alongside Rissi Palmer. Her voice is stunning and I'm prepared to have the chills each night!" Kristina adds, "When we think of the mainspring of country music, we’re immediately referencing a Holy Trinity with Dolly, Loretta, and Patsy. With each concert on this tour, our group of fantastic women and musicians, along with everyone present in the room, will experience a joyful celebration honoring what these legends have given us.”

The concerts will highlight how Cline, Lynn, and Parton harnessed country music’s rich storytelling tradition to offer their uniquely empowered—and unmistakably female—perspective on issues faced by women of their day. Their shared legacy of musical excellence, earthy glamour, and unapologetic authenticity continues to resonate with listeners of all ages and backgrounds in the 21st century.

Musicians joining Palmer and Train are Music Director Megan Coleman (drums, background vocals), Amy Frederick (piano, keyboards, background vocals), Leandria Lott (acoustic guitar, background vocals), Lindsey Miller (electric guitar, background vocals) and Sissy Dinkle (bass, background vocals).

About Rissi Palmer:

With the breakthrough 2007 singles "Country Girl" and “Hold On to Me,” Rissi Palmer, a 2022 Grammy® nominee, made history as the first Black female country artist to ascend the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart since Dona Mason in 1987. Since parting ways with her record label in 2010, Palmer has charted her own path with the independent release of three albums, including the critically acclaimed Revival (2019), named one of Rolling Stone's "Top 25 Country-Soul Albums of All Time", the soulful Back Porch Sessions EP (2015), and the children’s album Best Day Ever. She is set to release a new album in Spring 2025. In addition to her music, Palmer is the host of Color Me Country Radio with Rissi Palmer, on Apple Music, where she challenges listeners to rethink stereotypes surrounding people of color in country music. She also founded the Color Me Country Artist Grant Fund, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting emerging artists of color. A recognized figure in both Country and Americana music, Palmer has performed at prestigious venues such as The White House, the Grand Ole Opry, Lincoln Center, and the Apollo Theater. She has appeared on national television shows including ABC News Live, CBS Mornings, Good Morning America, Entertainment Tonight, and PBS NewsHour, with her work earning praise from outlets like Associated Press, Rolling Stone, Essence, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and more. She continues to tour across the U.S. and internationally and serves as a special correspondent for CMT Hot 20 Countdown. Additionally, she holds the esteemed position of Governor at the Recording Academy Nashville.

About Kristina Train

Hailing from Savannah, Georgia, Kristina Train is a musician who splits her time between Nashville and the UK. Her debut album premiered on Blue Note Records followed by a second solo album released on Mercury Records. She has toured the world as a featured vocalist and violinist in Herbie Hancock’s band, collaborated with Dr. Dre, performed at The Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, and made a fan of Bruce Springsteen. Train's voice is pure, richly embodied, and crystal clear, with a recognizable nod to the vocal traditions of Nat King Cole, Roy Orbison, and Dusty Springfield.
